Had a great stay there.. Nice, clean and very well managed property. Lighting in the parking area needs attention as it can be pretty difficult if you reach there in the night. All good apart from that.
Very friendly staff and helpful. Chatted a bit about the area and tourism in Australia. The restaurant was by the coast with a view. Nice plating. Food tasty. Price mid range. Worth trying.
The food was hit and miss re taste. The venue had beautiful views. The wait staff were excellent, friendly and very welcoming. Also loved that the restaurant has a dedicated vegetarian/vegan menu, on request. The let down was the cost of the meals and the portion size that came with it (speaking to the vegetarian/vegan menu). We ordered 3 entrees around 16 dollars each (mains are 31) and it was just disappointing how much actually came out of the kitchen. If the taste was out of this world it might have felt worth it. Our budget just wasn't prepared for the cost of 2x full meals (meaning in excess of 60 dollars for the two of us), perhaps even then it wouldn't have been enough though. TL;DR Expensive food with good view, the taste of food doesn't quite match the price tag. Staff are excellent.
We have enjoyed this restaurant for many years. It has become our Number One spot for our annual Valentine's Day date night. The food is locally sourced and so very fresh. The meals are individually prepared and served. I have had many wonderful meals at the Whale Restaurant in the past and anticipate many more in the future.
Amazing food, really well balanced and tasty. Great, fast and intuitive service. The owners were lovely. They ended up giving us extra wine from the Napa Valley which was divine. Great local tourist recommendations for food and wine as well! Top notch.
